So, Mega Altaria has been confirmed, right? No big deal, right?
WRONG!
You see, Mega Altaria has become a Dragon/Fairy Type. Which means that if you're putting a Dragon Type against this thing, your ass is grass.
Also, no more weakness to Fairy Types. Since it's a part Fairy Type, and since moves of the same type (Excluding Dragon Type) are not very effective, the damage that Fairy Type moves deal to Mega Altaria is reduced.

Actually, Fairy doesn't resist itself. The types that resists themselves are the three starter types (Grass, Fire, and Water), Electric, the two Gen II-debut types (Dark and Steel), Psychic, Poison, and Ice. So, a weakness to Fairy is still there. However, its unique type combination makes it a Dragon-type Pokémon that's immune to Dragon-type moves.
